Marga was built because the trip we wanted didn't exist — one where the itinerary was carefully crafted and the people in the room were as interesting as the destination. Every experience on this itinerary was personally scouted on a solo trip to Bali in May. Every vendor, every hotel, every activity — visited in person. If it didn't pass the test, it didn't make the list.

Your Trip Host
Being Selected Now
Every Marga trip is led by a carefully chosen host — someone who travels with the group as a peer, not a guide. They bring the right energy, hold the group together, and make sure the experience is as much about the people as it is the place. We are currently in the final stages of selecting the host for Journey #001. You'll meet them before you book.

Day 1
Oct 17
Welcome to the Island of Gods.
Touch down in Bali and let the island take over. Transfer straight to Uluwatu, check in, and spend your first evening doing absolutely nothing — or everything. The clifftop sunsets here are yours for free.

Day 2
Oct 18
Adrenaline, temples & fire.
Kick off the day with thrilling watersports at Nusa Dua — jet ski, banana boat, parasailing. As the sun drops, step into the ancient clifftop world of Uluwatu Temple before watching the hypnotic Kecak fire dance unfold against a backdrop of the Indian Ocean at sunset. One of those evenings that stays with you.

Day 3
Oct 19
Into the heart of Bali.
Leave the cliffs behind and head into Ubud, Bali's spiritual and creative soul. Along the way, wander through the chaos and charm of the Sacred Monkey Forest, then soar above the jungle canopy on the iconic Ubud Swing. Check in and settle into a completely different pace.

Day 4

Mud, rice & ritual.
Tear through Bali's backcountry on an ATV quad bike, mud and all. Catch your breath at the breathtaking Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Step into the sacred springs of Tirta Empul Temple for a moment of stillness, then wind down with a stroll through a working Balinese coffee plantation — try the kopi luwak if you're curious.

Day 5
Oct 21
North Bali unveiled.
Chase one of Bali's most iconic shots at the famous Handara Gate before heading to the serene Ulun Danu Temple floating on the edge of Lake Beratan. End the day with a trek through the forest to the hidden Leke Leke Waterfall — one of those places that doesn't feel real until you're standing in it.

Day 6

Before dawn on the volcano.
Set off at midnight by jeep for the slopes of Mt Batur, arriving just in time to watch the sunrise paint the sky over the caldera. One of those mornings you won't forget. The rest of the day is entirely yours — sleep, explore Ubud's streets, or simply exist.

Things people ask before booking.

Most people on this trip haven't done a curated group trip before. That's partly the point. This is a small group of 12 — not a coach tour with 40 strangers. By day two, it genuinely feels like travelling with friends. The trip is designed so you always have the option to break away and do your own thing; nothing is mandatory.
Almost everyone who's been to Bali has done the standard tourist trail — Seminyak, Kuta, a quick rice terrace photo. This itinerary is different. We split between two very distinct parts of the island — the dramatic clifftops of Uluwatu and the jungle soul of Ubud — and go deeper into both. The Mt Batur midnight jeep, Leke Leke Waterfall, Handara Gate, white water rafting, Tirta Empul — these aren't on the average Bali trip. And the people you do it with change everything.
We're curating the group as carefully as the itinerary. Everyone on this trip is between 21–39 and has applied individually. The group is intentionally mixed — solo travellers, couples, friends — because that's what makes the dynamic interesting. You won't know everyone going in. That's the whole idea.
Indians can get a Visa on Arrival (VoA) at Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport. It costs approximately $35 USD (around ₹3,000) and is valid for 30 days with an option to extend once. The process takes 15–20 minutes on arrival — straightforward and no advance application needed. Visa fees are not included in the trip price.
We stay at two curated properties — 2 nights in Uluwatu and 5 nights in Ubud. Rooms are twin-share. If you're travelling solo, you'll be paired with another solo traveller of the same gender. If you'd prefer a single room, that can be arranged at an additional cost — mention it on the call and we'll confirm availability and the supplement price.
Yes — we depart Ubud around midnight to reach the Mt Batur trailhead in time for sunrise. It's an early start but completely worth it. The jeep takes you up through the darkness, you watch the sky change colour over the caldera, and then Day 6 is entirely yours to rest and recover. Most people rate it the highlight of the trip.
Bali is one of the most vegetarian and vegan-friendly destinations in Asia. You'll find excellent options everywhere — from warung staples to dedicated plant-based restaurants in Ubud. If you have specific requirements, mention them on the call and we'll make sure every group activity accommodates you.
The ₹10,000 deposit is non-refundable. The balance is fully refundable up to 30 days before departure. We'll walk you through the full details on the discovery call.
